Ellington Racquet Club Honored as a USTA Outstanding Facility at the U.S. Open

Published: August 30, 2025

We are thrilled to announce that Ellington Racquet Club has been officially recognized as a USTA Outstanding Facility and was celebrated during the award ceremony at the U.S. Open!

This prestigious recognition is one of the highest honors a tennis and pickleball club can receive. It reflects not only the quality of our facility, but also the spirit of our members, the dedication of our staff, and the strong sense of community that makes ERC truly unique.

A Moment of Pride

Our owner,
Tracy French, proudly accepted the award on behalf of the entire ERC family. This honor is a testament to her vision and leadership, as well as the countless hours our staff and coaches devote to providing top-level experiences for players of all ages and abilities.

What Makes ERC Stand Out?

A Club That Listens to Its Community

When Tracy first opened Ellington Racquet Club in 2024, she made it her mission to build more than just a facility—she wanted to create a community where players of all ages and skill levels could feel at home. Over the past year, she has spent countless hours talking to members, gathering feedback, and learning exactly what players want (and don’t want) in a club experience.

That dedication to listening has shaped the direction of ERC in powerful ways. From small details like scheduling and programming, to bigger decisions about court time and memberships, Tracy and the ERC team have made sure that members have a voice in shaping their club.

What's Changing at Ellington Racquet Club

One of the most exciting changes this season is the launch of brand-new membership options designed around member feedback. These updates reflect how tennis and pickleball are growing in Connecticut and how different players use the club.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Pickleball-Only Memberships – For players who want to focus entirely on pickleball, ERC now offers memberships that give you access to clinics, open play, and court reservations without requiring a tennis commitment.
  • Club Memberships with Tennis & Pickleball Perks – Tennis players will continue to enjoy full access to courts, lessons, and leagues, with added pickleball benefits included at member rates.
  • Peak and Non-Peak Options – To make memberships more flexible and affordable, ERC now offers pricing based on when you prefer to play. Early birds and daytime players can take advantage of non-peak hours, while evening and weekend players can enjoy prime-time access. (Non-peak hours are Monday-Friday from 7am-3pm).

These new memberships make ERC one of the most customizable racquet clubs in Connecticut, giving members the power to choose the option that best fits their lifestyle.
